Privacy Policy

Effective: 24 August 2026

KOTAMON DB is designed to work without an account. This policy explains the small amount of browser and hosting data involved when you use the site.

Collection tracker data

Card and foil checkmarks are stored in your browser under the local storage key kotamon-collection-v1. They are not sent to KOTAMON DB. Exporting a JSON backup or copying a missing-card list happens only when you press the corresponding button.

Optional analytics

Google Analytics 4 remains off until you choose “Accept analytics” in the privacy banner. If enabled, it may process page views, approximate location, device/browser information, referral data, and interactions according to Google’s services. The site does not send your collection checklist to analytics.

Your choice is stored locally under kotamon-consent-v1. You can change it by clearing site storage or using the button below.

Embedded video

YouTube video frames are not loaded automatically. They load only after you press a play button, at which point YouTube may receive your IP address, browser data, and the referring page under its own policies.

Hosting and security logs

Cloudflare hosts and protects the site. Like most hosting providers, it may process request metadata such as IP address, time, requested URL, user agent, and security signals to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and maintain reliability.

Advertising

KOTAMON DB uses Adsterra Popunder and Social Bar advertising. Adsterra and its advertising partners may process IP address, user agent, device and browser signals, referrer information, cookies or similar storage, and ad interactions to deliver, measure, limit, and protect advertising.

A Popunder may open an advertiser page after an eligible interaction. Social Bar may display floating advertising on a page. Advertising is commercially separate from KOTAMON DB editorial content and does not represent an endorsement.

The analytics choice above controls Google Analytics only; it does not control Adsterra advertising. You can use your browser's cookie, site-data, tracking-protection, or content-blocking settings to limit third-party storage and advertising behavior.

Data control and contact

You can remove local tracker and consent data through your browser’s site-storage controls. For privacy questions, email [email protected].
